in why i loathe sterling lane, harper tells us every reason she has to hate him. but the truth is, she only feels this strongly for him because she doesn't hate him at all. she loves him. but she's unaccustomed to letting people in. since her mother's death, she's been so focused on protecting those she loves and herself from that kind of pain again, that making friends, falling in love, were all off the table.

getting to know sterling, working with him, she realizes that sometimes it is okay to break the rules. sometimes it is worth taking a risk, because the rewards are more valuable than the pain. and as difficult as harper makes it to know her and like her, because she is not an easy character to know and love, in the end, you understand why she is the way she is. and as she learns and grows and lets others in, you feel like you finally have a chance to get her too. and deep down she's funny and unique and sensitive and sweet.

simply catching up on all things general hospital
